Will Goliath be renewed for a fourth season?

Goliath Season 3 was released at the start of the month. Now all eyes are on the future of the Billy Bob Thornton series. Will a fourth season happen?

The start of October was great with the arrival of Goliath Season 3. Of course, the release of that meant a new waiting game. Now we’re waiting for any news on Amazon canceling or renewing Goliath for a fourth season.

Let’s be honest and saw the Billy Bob Thornton series needs to be renewed. Even if it wasn’t for that shocking cliffhanger ending, we need another season of this awesome legal drama. It’s well-written, brilliantly-acted, and pure entertainment. Of course, the cliffhanger (I’m not going to share what it is if you’re not caught up but know that it’s major!) is another reason that this is a series that needs renewing.

Amazon has remained quiet so far. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. We were left in limbo for some time after Hanna‘s first season, but that had gained plenty of hype and expectations that fans were pretty certain it was getting a second season.

There is a major worry when it comes to Goliath since the renewal would be for the fourth season. Not many Amazon Prime shows have a track record of getting past the third season. Patriot and The Tick were recently canceled after two seasons and Sneaky Pete was canceled after three seasons. Good shows can go on, such as Bosch, which was renewed for its sixth season ahead of the arrival of Season 5 on Prime Video.

It does sound like there’s hope for Goliath. Shortly after the release of the season on Amazon Prime Video, Collider spoke to Thornton about hopes for the fourth season. Thorton was optimistic, sharing that there are discussions of another season of the series. After all, the way it ended means the story needs wrapping in some way. Thornton is interested in remaining with the show, so there’s no reason not to do it, right?
