The Tick canceled by Amazon after two seasons
Sadly, The Tick Season 3 is not happening. Well, it’s not happening on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon has chosen to cancel the series, but it’s not the end for Bed Edlund.
Amazon has chosen not to renew The Tick, canceling the series after two seasons. It’s certainly a sad day but all is not over. Ben Edlund has made it clear that he’s looking for a new home for the blue superhero.
Despite the world being full of superhero shows and movies, there’s certainly room for The Tick. This series is vastly different from all the rest. It’s a comedy for starters!

In this world, people know that superheroes and aliens exist. There’s a government agency that overseas the superheroes and people love The Tick. However, he’s possibly not the best for the world. As loveable and focused as he is, he doesn’t always get things right. And neither does his surprising side kick, Arthur.

Edlund shared the news that the show had been canceled by Amazon through Twitter. He immediately made it clear that he was sad, thanked the cast, crew, and fans, and then shared that he was looking for a new home. Where that home will be isn’t clear.

One thing I’m not 100% sure on is what the Amazon Prime Video contracts are like. I know Netflix’s contracts make it clear that a show can’t be put on another streaming service for two years, making it impossible to save the likes of Santa Clarita Diet and One Day at a Time. There’s a chance the Amazon contracts are similar but we’ll have to wait and see what the chances of The Tick being saved are.
