Can’t wait for Carnival Row? You are most definitely not alone. It’s the most anticipated new TV series coming out in August 2019, and it’s not even due out until the end of the month.
TV Time takes stock of all the shows that fans are talking about through the app. It wants to know what you’re watching, and Carnival Row is the top new TV series debuting in the month that viewers are eager to see.

Viewers love fantasy shows. We just have to look at the likes of Game of Thrones to see how well fantasy shows can do. Mythical creatures, war between societies, murder and intrigue, they’re all popular topics for TV viewers around the world. And Carnival Row has all of that.
This is the third time in four months that Amazon has taken up one of the top spots. Good Omens and The Boys made it to the list of previous highly anticipated shows. We’re excited about that, as it means Amazon is figuring out the types of shows people want to watch. And more than that, they’re delivering on the quality.
Most of the reviews for Good Omens and The Boys are positive. We can probably expect the same from Carnival Row, especially after the teaser footage released so far and the fact that it’s already renewed for a second season.
The series takes the top spot of new shows, with Netflix coming in second with The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Cartoon Network’s Infinity Train, CBS All Access’ Why Women Kill, and FOX’s BH90210 round out the list.
Sadly, Amazon doesn’t get on the returning shows but it doesn’t have any major shows returning with a second season or more. Netflix takes up the top four spots with Power from STARZ coming in fifth.
