Will Midge go on tour in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3?
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 gave us a perfect ending for Midge’s career. Will we get to see her on tour in the third season?
Let’s be honest, the finale of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 left you with mixed thoughts. On the one hand, you were happy that Midge finally got recognized and is going on tour. Yet, she made it clear that she’s ambitious and that means a lot of heartbreak and tears along the way. Will we get to see all of them?
More importantly, will we get a chance to see Midge on tour? Is this something that we’ll gloss over, with the odd flashback here and there instead, similar to the flashback of Midge learning that Joel had seen her performance at the Gaslight Cafe in the Season 1 finale?

It would be a cheat’s way out if the showrunners chose to do that and they know it. According to an interview with TV Line, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino have made it clear that it looks like they’re heading off on tour. It wouldn’t be fair on the viewers not to go through with this.
How long will the tour last on the screen? Well, that’s not clear. Considering the Catskills was two months and two episodes, it is possible that we could see six episodes of Midge on tour. We could at least see half the season of her on tour.
This doesn’t mean we won’t see other storylines. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2, Episode 1 and 2 gave us storylines in different countries. It’s possible to manage this more for the third season as we see how Abe and Rose are moving forward, Joel managing the kids as a full-time dad (I’d assume he’d take over as primary carer instead of Midge’s parents) while opening his club, and the Maisels managing their business again.
At least, we know we’ll get to see Midge on tour. That’s sure to bring problems, especially with Susie’s secret.
