What’s streaming on Amazon Prime Video this week, Aug. 24-28?
We’re into the last full week of August. Sadly, there’s not much arriving on Amazon Prime Video throughout the week. The great news is the end of the week is going to make up for it.
There are two new Amazon Originals joining the streaming service at the end of the month. They’re more than worth waiting for.
Two Amazon Originals this week
The first is The Boys after-show, titled Prime Rewind: Inside the Boys. Aisha Tyler hosts the show.
There isn’t much available about it, but we know that there will be various guests to talk about the series. This first episode drops a week before The Boys Season 2 premieres, so there’s a good chance that we’ll delve into the first season again.
More from Amazon Originals
- Will Your Christmas or Mine 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray?
- The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 release updates, cast, and everything we know
- Them Season 2 release updates, cast, and everything we know
- The Boys Season 4 release updates, cast, and everything we know
- What time is Dating Santa coming to Prime Video?
This will be a good chance to get a few reminders about things that happened in the first season. We may also hear from Eric Kripke about the show and get some teases for the second season.
Get Duked is the second original heading to Amazon Prime Video this week. It’s a British satirical movie about a group of teenage boys who head out on the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Little do they realize that they’re going to become the next prey in the Duke’s hunting games.
What else to watch on Amazon Prime Video?
While there isn’t much arriving this week, there’s still plenty from the rest of August to watch. Inception, Rain Man, and more are still available to stream on the service. You can also watch shows like Les Miserables and Ice Road Truckers for free.
Don’t forget to check out Chemical Hearts, which dropped on Amazon at the weekend. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is an excellent choice for families, while The Peanut Butter Falcon is on Prime for those who want a movie with a lot of heart.
What to look forward to on Prime Video
The list of August releases isn’t out at the time of writing this. So, we can only work with the handful of releases we know about:
- Primal — Aug. 31
- The Courier — Aug. 31
- The Boys Season 2 — premieres Sept. 4 with three episodes and then one episode per week
- Utopia — Sept. 25
