As the amount of original content on Amazon Prime Video grows, it’s only natural that some of our lists of greatest shows adapt and change. Our list of best Amazon Originals on Prime is growing with some new additions.
Not everything can make it to these types of lists. Originally, this list was only made up of 15 shows, but Amazon is swiftly growing. New shows are coming to the streamer and proving to be huge successes. Whether they end up renewed or not, there is a lot that goes into deciding whether a show is worth watching or not.

The current list is growing to 25 Amazon Originals. Upload is just one of the shows joining the list, which shouldn’t be all that surprising. It’s been an immediate success, landing a second season just a week after the release. It’s the perfect binge-watch, with a well-written storyline and characters.
Modern Love is another show that’s joined the list. This anthology series broke the curse, grabbing a second season from Amazon Studios very quickly. It’s a beautiful tale of all types of love, from finding love when you’re older to familial love.
The next show is one that hasn’t landed a second season yet. It’s all about Hunters, which brought us an excellent mix of comedy and drama. Al Pacino left us guessing until the end, as we tried to figure out what the mystery and big reveals were going to be. There were chances that you were watching the wrong characters.
Then there’s Tales from the Loop, which deserves a second season for sure. It’s a story that uses science fiction just to start a story. The sci-fi doesn’t become the story or even set a huge stage. It focuses on human interaction within the science fiction events.
Finally, The Expanse has made it to the list. It’s been a long time coming, I know. The only reason it was initially left off was because the fourth season (the first as an Amazon Original) hadn’t debuted. Now that it has and we’ve had a chance to watch and rewatch a million times, it’s time for it to make its way to the list of best Amazon Originals.
