The Man in the High Castle Season 5 is definitely not happening
If you’re hoping for more episodes to resolve that twisty ending to The Man in the High Castle Season 4, you’ll be disappointed. Season 5 isn’t happening.
The Man in the High Castle Season 4 left us with more questions than answers. The fight isn’t over, but it is in a way. After all, we’ve come to the end of the series. There is not going to be a fifth season of the alternate history, dimensions-traveling series.
Shortly after renewing High Castle for its fourth season, Amazon confirmed that it would be the last. Despite being popular and clearly needing just a little more time (I really wanted more of the BCR plot), The Man in the High Castle would be left to wrap up the show in the 10 episodes it received.

While, for the most part, the endings were fitting, there were certainly plenty of questions. However, this isn’t a case of the showrunners wanting more time. The ending was done on purpose, leaving something for us to discuss for years to come. And it will be discussed, just like the endings of The Sopranos and LOST are still continually discussed.
It wasn’t disappointing in the way that Game of Thrones was. However, there were still plenty of more stories to tell. And it’s disappointing that we won’t get that. Yet, I was fully satisfied with the way some of the storylines played out. There was no going back for the Smiths and Kido did, in a twisted way, get the ending that he deserved. After all, these people weren’t really the villains but real characters caught in difficult positions.
We’re left with plenty of questions. Questions that we’ll get no answers to. Well, unless the writers want to share their thoughts on what they think would happen afterward.
