The official trailer for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 has finally dropped. Here are the top five takeaways for this exciting season.

It was the moment we had all been waiting for. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 trailer dropped and we got our first look at what to expect. Midge is going on tour, and she certainly isn’t alone.

While we don’t have the answers to our many questions after the Season 2 finale, we do get a few clues of what to expect. There are glimpses of Midge’s tour with Shy Baldwin, we get to see the tension between Joel and Midge, and there are moments with Midge and her parents. Of course, Susie is also one of the standouts in the promo.

For those who haven’t had a chance to see the promo just yet, I’ll include it just below. Then we can get into the five major takeaways from the promo.

5. Joel and Midge are going to struggle

More from Amazon Originals

Joel is supportive of Midge. There are moments in the short teaser we got before that show this. In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3’s official trailer, we see that Joel is the one that Midge admits about her nerves opening for Shy Baldwin. He’s the one that instills her with confidence.

However, that doesn’t mean things are going to be smooth sailing for them. While there are times that it looks like they could get back together, there is a moment where the two are on the phone. Joel is clearly annoyed that Midge isn’t there. Co-parenting isn’t easy, but it sounds like Joel is dealing with a lot of emotional stuff with the kids right now.

I’m sure it’s just a one-off argument. When the emotions settle, the two will be able to make up. But it shows that things aren’t perfect.

4. It looks like Susie breaks the Sophie Lennon news

It was going to happen. Susie was eventually going to have to tell Midge that she’s become Sophie Lennon’s manager. We just don’t know how anyone is going to react.

Midge will be hurt, but will it be the end of her and Susie’s relationship? I doubt it. Everything with Sophie is just business. It looks like Midge is going to find out while on tour and it will cause tension at first. However, they’re going to be back on track. Susie and Midge know that Midge is always Susie’s #1.

3. Midge’s parents are on the road to support their daughter

There’s a humorous moment when it seems that Abe and Rose don’t quite understand what their daughter is doing. She has to point out that she’s not a prostitute. This does lead to the great line “prostitutes are paid more.”

However, while sometimes they seem to be clueless, it’s clear that they want to support their daughter. At one moment, we see them in the audience at the show. Rose loves Shy Baldwin, but they’re likely their for their daughter. And I love that now they know, they’re able to show this support.

2. Our favorite guest stars are back

There are some new faces on the show, but there are also plenty of returning faces. We got a glimpse of the characters that have been with us from the very beginning, including Midge’s and Joel’s parents, but there are others.

Luke Kirby and Jane Lynch are both back. Neither of these guest stars are all that surprising, but they put a smile on our faces, right? The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel just wouldn’t be the same without either of them.

1. Midge is going to become a star

We knew that Midge was good, and that wasn’t just because she was our lead character—the one we were constantly rooting for. Midge Maisel is funny and not always because she’s trying. Shy Baldwin’s tour is a chance for her to make it big, and that’s just what she’s going to do.

She’s nervous, sure. Everyone would be once the theoretical becomes a reality. However, she’s got plenty of people in her back pocket. You can tell in strategically placed scenes that this is a woman still confident on the stage. She’s ready to impress.

Susie thinks she’ll be a star, too. Sterling K. Brown’s character asks if Midge will be good, and Susie doesn’t hesitate. That’s a manager you want to have by your side.
