SDCC 2018 brought you the Jack Ryan immersive experience. NYCC 2018 brought Good Omens. Amazon brings three immersive experiences for upcoming Originals to SDCC 2019.

SDCC 2019 is getting so much better for those of you who love immerse experiences. There’s not just one Amazon activation but three, and four if you include the Epix event. It’s time to literally immerse yourself into the world of your favorite upcoming shows and here’s all you need to know.

You will need to be at San Diego Comic-Con to take part in these experiences. While they are free, you’ll also need to expect to wait. These types of experiences lead to huge queues. Even those who don’t know what the shows are get in the queues — I experienced that for the Good Omens experience at NYCC 2018.

More from Amazon Originals

Amazon only brought the one immersive experience to SDCC 2019. The company has stepped up for 2019. You can delve into the worlds of The Boys, Carnival Row, The Expanse, and Epix’s Pennyworth while at the event. So, whether you love fantasy, superheroes with a twist, or sci-fi, there’s something for you.

The catch for the Amazon activation is that it’s all three Prime Originals in one. According to our sister site, Hidden Remote, you’ll be given coins to access the show-specific activations. The one I’m looking forward to the most is, admittedly, The Boys. You’ll get to take part in your own superhero coverup at the audiovisual store, and that’s something you’ll gain a huge appreciation for when you watch the series.

When you enter The Expanse‘s activation, you’re taken onto a peacekeeping mission. Those who fell in love with the show on SYFY and those new to the fandom thanks to the arrival on Amazon Prime internationally will be happy to hear you’ll go aboard the Rocinante.

And then there’s Carnival Row, the upcoming fantasy Amazon Original. In this activation, you’ll step into The Forbidden Lounge. Look out for the special performances linked to the series, giving you an exciting tease of everything to expect in the Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne-led series.

The Amazon-focused activation will take place across the road from SDCC 2019, at the corner of MLK and 1st Avenue. If you’re ready for Pennyworth though, you’ll want to head to 435 5th Avenue, at the Oxford Social Club.

After a coat check, you’ll immediately be transported back in time to the 1960s, where you’ll find out if you’re clever enough to uncover the secret password to get into The Scarlet rope. This lounge is full of drag performances, gambling, and music. You’ll even get to play a hand of Black Jack or grab a photo with a cabaret dancer.

Watch out for the Raven Society members roaming the lounge while you’re there. These members will offer gifts to convert! You’ll even get the chance to see the Raven Society Headquarters to unravel some of the mysteries of the order. And there is even a dungeon.
