A year after being saved by Amazon, The Expanse is getting its first Prime outing at San Diego Comic-Con. Here’s all we know and what to expect from The Expanse at SDCC 2019.

The Expanse is heading to SDCC 2019. Part of the Amazon lineup, it’s time to celebrate the fact that it was saved by the streaming service once more. Sure, we don’t have the fourth season yet, but it’s on the way and San Diego Comic-Con is certainly a sign of that.

Before we get into speculation about what could happen during the panel, we need to know what we will get; everything we know so far. TVLine shared the full list of panels and we found out that The Expanse is definitely one of them on the busiest days of the whole convention.

More from Amazon Originals

If you want to see everything, you’ll need to make sure you plan ahead for this one. I reckon the panel will be busy and there won’t be many seats unless you get there early. When it comes to the former SYFY series, the fanbase is loyal and eager to learn what’s new in the fourth season. And so are we!

So, here’s everything we know already about The Expanse at SDCC 2019.

  • When: Saturday, July 20
  • Time: 1 p.m. local time
  • Where: Indigo Ballroom

So far, a few cast members and EPs have been confirmed for the panel. This could change closer to the weekend, so you’ll want to keep an eye out. It can change on the day, so keep a close eye on the information around SDCC 2019 if you’re there.

Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, Dominique Tipper, and Frankie Adams are attending from the cast. EPs Ty Franck and Naren Shankar are expected for the panel too.

It’s worth noting that we’re completely in the dark about The Expanse Season 4. It’s highly likely that we’ll get some footage during the panel in the form of a trailer and maybe a sneak peek. I’d also hazard a guess that we’ll get a release date for the fourth season. With any luck, the fan reaction to content about The Expanse has been so great on social media that Amazon will renew it early for a fifth season.
