Carnival Row is one of the latest Amazon Originals heading to San Diego Comic-Con. Here’s all we know so far about Carnival Row at SDCC 2019.

If you’re looking for another fantastical drama series, Amazon has your back. Not only is The Boys coming this month to offer a superhero drama with a twist, but Amazon Prime is also bringing Carnival Row in August. And the drama series, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, is getting a panel at SDCC 2019.

Amazon is certainly pushing its current and new shows. Carnival Row is one of three new series (yes, I’m counting The Boys in that but not The Expanse) coming to SDCC for promotional reasons.

If you’re interested in learning more about the series, then you’ll want to tune in for the panel — or attend it if you’re going to be there. Here’s all the information you need right now.

More from Amazon Originals

  • When: Friday, July 19
  • Time: 4:45 p.m.
  • Where: Ballroom 20

The panel is straight after Amazon’s The Boys, which will also take place in Ballroom 20. It’s worth sticking around afterwards just to see what this new show is about. If you’re only planning on Carnival Row, it could be worth going in for The Boys too to make sure you get a seat. I suspect this show to be packed.

After all, it does have a standout cast. Bloom and Delevingne are both expected to attend, along with stars Tamzin Merchant and David Ayasi. EPs Travis Beacham and Marc Guggenheim are also on the list of people expected on the panel. This list is subject to change, so you’ll want to check the program over the weekend.

For those who haven’t heard much about Carnival Row, it’s set in a fantastical Victorian era world. Bloom plays Rycroft Philostrate, a human detective who falls for refugee faerie Vignette Stonemoss (Delevingne). Gyasi is a wealthy faun called Agreus, who moves to an affluent human neighborhood, disrupting the social order. Merchant is Imogen Spurnrose, but there are no details about her character yet.

Karla Crome from Misfits, Hared Harris from Chernobyl, and Indira Varma from Game of Thrones will also star in the Amazon Original series. A teaser trailer and short trailer have been released but they give very little away!
