When will Informer Season 2 come to Amazon Prime Video?
All eyes are on whether Informer will be renewed for a second season. If it is, when will Informer Season 2 come to Amazon Prime Video?
Informer became one of the surprising British imports on Amazon Prime Video. It brought a terrorism plotline without falling into the same failures that many other shows and movies do. There was far more to the story and now fans are crying out for a second season. If it happens, when will Informer Season 2 come to Amazon Prime Video?
This is extremely hard to say. Because it’s not a worldwide Prime Original, it’s not like telling you a rough date like when The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 will be released or when Jack Ryan Season 2 will be out. Amazon has to wait for the show to be filmed and released by a third party; in this case, the BBC.

Britain can take time between seasons of even its hot shows. While Doctor Who is mostly released yearly, there are times that it will skip a year. This is going to be the case this year, as there are no new episodes until 2020. Sherlock is another that took a couple of years to bring three episodes of its next seasons.
So, could Informer be the same? That’s certainly plausible and it probably wouldn’t affect the ratings too much. BBC offers a variety of ways for people to watch for free and the content is ad-free, which makes it much more enjoyable to view. So, it’s possible that if Informer Season 2 happens, we’ll be waiting until 2020 for the series.
Hopefully, it won’t be that long. But if it is, it’s possible that it won’t come until 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon waited three months from the premiere of the series in Britain (two months from the finale) to stream all six episodes on the service. If BBC waits until October 2020 to release the second season, we’re looking at January 2021 for the Prime release.
