Hearing that The Expanse Season 3 was coming to Amazon Prime Video in February really lit up dreary January. Now all eyes are on the release on Friday. What time can you start streaming The Expanse on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the week?
Prime Video releases content at midnight GMT. This is excellent news for those in the United States, because the shows can be released earlier. This isn’t always the case, but it’s happened more times than it’s not in recent months.

It may be slightly different for The Expanse. It’s not just the U.S. that is getting Season 3. All 200 territories are getting all three seasons of the former SYFY series. With Amazon getting the rights to the series after saving it for Season 4, it now has the ability to stream it worldwide. That’s excellent news but may affect the timing of the release.

You may be able to tune in from 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Feb. 7. If it’s not there by then, keep checking up until midnight, as it may be released early. At least you know it’ll be there at midnight if not.
Of course, now eyes are on when The Expanse Season 4 will be released. This is currently in production and Amazon hasn’t announced when it will be released, except that it will be some time this year. Considering Good Omens is likely spring and The Boys is summer (two big releases), we may find The Expanse is out in the fall, but I admit, I’m just taking a guess here.
