If you’ve been waiting for PBS’ Victoria to air its second season, there’s no need to twiddle your thumbs any longer. Victoria Season 2 has officially dropped on Amazon Prime Video.

We’ve waited patiently and that patience is finally rewarded. Victoria Season 2 is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The whole second season of the ITV/PBS series has dropped, starting with the christening of baby Princess Victoria.

While many women will usually take at least six weeks off post-baby (and most will take longer), Queen Victoria returns to her duties much sooner than expected. Of course, that doesn’t sit well with many of the men around, who are still dealing with a woman in power. Prince Albert feels pushed aside once again.

The promo from PBS shows all you need to know going into this season. There are more tensions, a growing war around the world, and uncertainty and arguments in parliament (although, what else is new there?).

Jenna Coleman returns as Queen Victoria, with Tom Hughes as Prince Albert and The Man in the High Castle‘s Rufus Sewell as Lord Melbourne. The stakes are higher, as Victoria comes to term with being a good queen and a good mother.

You can still watch Victoria Season 1 if you haven’t seen the series yet. It’s definitely one for those who love period dramas and British history.

The great news is Victoria Season 3 has officially been confirmed by ITV, so it will be on PBS and later Amazon Prime Video. We’re probably looking at next year for that. For now, you’ve got another eight episodes plus the Christmas special to tune into.
