Here’s everything that happened on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 6

Camina is left without a choice on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 6, but it does come with a benefit. Meanwhile, Amos has to strip down to save his and Peaches’s lives.

Holden, Alex, and Naomi also get some focus during the episode. It’s time to break down everything that happened during the episode.

Camina learns a truth

During the previous episode, Marco sent out an “invitation” to Camina to join him. Of course, it wasn’t an invitation at all. Nobody has a choice. They either join him or they die.

Camina knows this, so when she gets on board to hear Marco out, she realizes that she’s outnumbered. Her crew doesn’t necessarily want to join the Free Navy, but they all know they don’t realistically have a choice. They won’t have Marco’s protection when the Inners blame all Belters for Marco’s actions.

And so, Camina ends the episode leaving some of her crew on Marco’s ship. She does get to find out that Naomi is on board, even though she’s not supposed to.

When she asks Filip if he’d like her to pass a message to Naomi. Why would she need to do that what Naomi is on the ship? That’s just what he starts to say before he realizes that he shouldn’t have. Camina realizes Naomi is somewhere there.

How long until Camina gets to Holden to team up with him? Both of them working together to save Naomi? It only makes sense.

Speaking of Holden, he manages to clean the drive of corrupt files so the Roci won’t blog up when they take off. They can now get back onto their mission, which is going to involve saving Naomi.

Filip refuses to kill Naomi on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 6

The start of the episode sees Marco order Filip to space Naomi. Cyn and Filip both refuse. In fact, Cyn stands up against Marco for the first time ever and it surprises Filip.

It may be too late, but it’s something. And it saves Naomi’s life…for now.

Filip clearly isn’t the hard-heartened man his father is. There’s part of his mother in there.

After the incident and Camina appearing, Filip decides to see Naomi and hear her out. What has Naomi’s life been like? What was Camina talking about when the two women worked together? There’s a hint that Filip will change sides, and we finally get a look at why Filip has chosen to save his mother after all.

Alex and Bobbie deal with no drive

The end of The Expanse Season 5, Episode 5 saw Alex do an emergency core dump to get rid of the missile after them. It saved their life, but it left them without any power at all. There’s no way to get comms out to anyone, and they’re sitting duck for the Belters who were after them.

That’s okay because Alex and Bobbie quickly put a plan together. As Bobbie took on the Belters who were going to board the Razorback, Alex got to the Belter’s Martian ship to place a grenade in the engine.

At one point on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 6, it doesn’t look like Alex will get back, but it all works out. Just as Alex and Bobbie take off, the Belters fire up their drives, blowing up themselves. That’s one stolen Martian ship dealt with and now Alex and Bobbie can take what they know to someone who can help them do something about it.

Amos strips to save lives

During the aftershow episode for The Expanse Season 5, Episode 5, Wes Chatham said that there was an upcoming episode where he was stripped down to his skivvies in the snow. We haven’t had to wait too long for that. The Expanse Season 5, Episode 6 delivers.

Amos and Peaches (look, I love this nickname Amos has for Clarissa) head toward a U.N. aid point. There are too many cops, though. Peaches can’t risk being sent back to prison, so Amos suggests they head to Baltimore.

On the way there, they run into a guy alone by a fire. This guy tells them to stay away from a certain part of land. There’s a doomsday guy shooting at anyone who comes near. Well, that’s exactly where Amos wants to go.

Amos doesn’t trust anyone. Civilization keeps people civil but the moment civilization is gone, so are civil people. It’s all about survival, and this is what Amos has lived long enough to understand and accept. But he knows they also need weapons, food, and clothes. So, they’re heading to the doomsday guy.

When they get there, Amos decides to jump the fence. The doomsday guy tells him to strip to prove that he’s unarmed, which is exactly what Amos does. And just as it looks like it’s going to get out of hand and Amos will be shot, there’s a click. Peaches has let off her mod and she kills the doomsday guy before he even has a chance.

Amos gets to see what happens after letting off the mod, which involves being sick and passing out. Peaches wasn’t exactly thinking of the downsides when she got the mod, but it does mean she hasn’t to think carefully before using it. Fortunately, she’s with Amos and he’ll look after her.

Now they have shelter, food, clothing, and medicine to rest for a bit. After that, they have transport in the form of motorcycles to get to Baltimore for help until Amos can get in touch with Christjen or Holden or whoever he’ll want to get in touch with to get help.
