Alex Rider Season 1, Episode 3 recap: Can Alex get into Point Blanc?
Here’s everything that happened on Alex Rider Season 1, Episode 3
Now that Alex has decided to join the Department of Secret Operations, he needs to prove that he should be at Point Blanc. It’s time to go undercover on Alex Rider Season 1, Episode 3.
There are a few storylines going on here, including the fact that we now know how Ian was betrayed. In the previous episode, we learned that Martin was behind it and he’s working for the enemy. Well, we’re not the only ones who know this. The DSO knows it too.

Meanwhile, Jack isn’t the only one who finds out that Alex is joining a team of spies. Fed up with clearly being lied to, Tom decides to take matters into his own hands, especially when Alex blows off a party with an “I’m sick” text. He wants the truth from Jack, who tells him where Alex is.
Tom makes it clear that Alex is to never lie to him again. I love that this is all brought together quickly. We don’t have a full season of Tom remaining in the dark and being alienated. Alex has Tom and Jack if and when things go wrong.
Alex gets an interview into Point Blanc
Meanwhile, the DSO tells Alex that Eva Stellenbosh is interested in Alex. She is the one to decide whether Alex should be allowed in the school or not, so he needs to look the part. Point Blanc only takes troubled youths.
Alex Rider becomes Alex Friend, the son of Sir David Friend and his wife Lady Caroline. The two aren’t happy with it, but it turns out David is in some debt with the DSO, so has no choice. This is it though…I’m sure it isn’t.
Alex learns how to shoot clay pigeons and he is also able to protect himself from a group of upper-class idiots who shouldn’t be allowed shotguns. When Stellenbosh turns up, all Alex has to do is prove that he is who he says he is. Fiona Friend, the real daughter of David and Caroline, is the only one who could mess this up. The housekeeper takes care of that.
It all works out. Alex gets into the school and we end the episode with Alex turning up at Point Blanc, ready to become a new man.
