Alex is going to be that guy, but he needs to pass a test first. Of course, nobody tells him that it’s a test when he’s kidnapped from outside the school.

It doesn’t take long for Alex to figure things out, so when these torturers ask questions about Point Blanc and start blasting loud music in a bright room, he doesn’t give in. In fact, he starts singing over the top of the loud music.

The torturers change tactics and turn off the music. The sprinklers turn on, which is when they all turn on each other. They don’t torture kids.

By the time they turn the sprinklers off, Alex has escaped. He runs off, but is in the middle of nowhere. When a car pulls up, he flags it down for help, only to find out that it’s the guy who pretended to be a grief counselor and then someone from the Foreign Office earlier in the episode. This guy says that he warned Alex, and this is when Alex shares that he knows everything.

With all guns trained on him, he asks if he passed the test. Sure enough, Mrs. Jones shows up to tell

the grief counselor

Smithers to stand down.

Jack figures out the truth

While all that is happening, Jack is worried about Alex. She decides to do some snooping, which means getting Alex’s computer password from Tom.

That’s where she finds the footage that Alex had filmed about the cleanup. She knows everything that’s happened, so when Alex does finally get back home, she tells him what she knows. She doesn’t want him to join the DSO. They don’t need to worry about the same thing as the last episode happening now they have the proof they’re spies.

However, Alex is joining. He’s going undercover. He needs to know what happened to his uncle and why.
