How long will we need to wait for The Boys Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video?
Friday nights are usually taken up by The Boys. With the Season 2 finale airing last week, we now need to wait for The Boys Season 3. How long will it take for it to arrive on Amazon Prime Video?
We need to point out that The Boys Season 3 is definitely happening. All that review bombing didn’t work (and all because of a weekly release?) as the show had already been picked up for a third season ahead of the Season 2 premiere. The second season has also been the best yet in terms of views, so Amazon would have renewed it anyway.

We know a few things about the third season, including that Jensen Ackles will join the show as Soldier Boy. This character is going to be different to the graphic novels, which is nothing new considering Stormfront and Victoria Neuman.
The big question is when The Boys Season 3 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

The Boys Season 3 hasn’t started filming yet
It’s worth noting that filming hasn’t begun on The Boys Season 3 just yet. While Toronto is open for filming, there are some strict guidelines to follow. Plus, the Ontario government has put Toronto back to a version of its Stage 2 opening plan, which could affect decisions to start filming right now.
Everyone coming from outside of Canada will need to quarantine for two weeks before filming can start. We’ll get an idea of when the show is looking to start up production based on that.
Usually, we’d say 14-18 months between seasons, but it’s hard to call it this year since filming is delayed across the board.
We’re looking at the end of 2021 at the very earliest for The Boys Season 3. However, it’s more likely that we’ll be waiting until the start of 2022. It’ll be worth it!
