The Boys Season 2 finale recap: Who is blowing heads off?
Everything that happened in The Boys Season 2 finale
Can you believe The Boys Season 2 finale is here? The traditional weekly release has been so much fun, but it’s hard to think we’ll be waiting a year or so for another season. That being said, we got a lot of answers to our burning questions.
The Boys Season 2 finale wrapped up one major storyline, but it left us with a lot of questions for Season 3. Sure, we found out who has been blowing up heads all season long, but now we want to know why.
Here’s our recap of The Boys Season 2 finale.
Learning the truth about Stormfront
While the vigilantes know that Stormfront and Liberty are the same person, they still never found out what Stormfront’s endgame was. We know she was the world’s first “Supe.” She’s the first person to receive a successful Compound V injection, but she’s also a Nazi.

Would that truth every come out? Of course it would!
A-Train overhears a conversation about Stormfront’s Nazi ways, so he decides to do some digging. This is a man who always has to stay one step ahead, and he will do whatever it takes to get back into The Seven. In this case, it means passing the information about Stormfront’s Nazi past onto Hughie and Starlight.
No, it doesn’t make them friends. Don’t rely on A-Train to do something for Starlight and Hughie in the future. What it does mean is The Boys have information to leak out to the press.
What’s scary is that people were rallying behind Stormfront, wanting to put a block on immigration because that’s where these Supe Terrorists are apparently coming from. The minute they find out she’s a Nazi, everyone turns on her. So many people agreed with the message until the truth about her being a Nazi came out, which is scary when you think carefully about it.
But with that truth out and people now against Stormfront, Vought is going to have to rethink a few things.
Taking down Stormfront
Becca turns to Butcher for help now that Homelander and Stormfront have taken Ryan. She needs her son back. Of course, Butcher agrees to help.
The team put together a plan to take down Stormfront and get Ryan back. You just know it’s not quite going to work out.
Kimiko and Starlight are ready to fight against Stormfront, but Stormfront is just too powerful. Queen Maeve decides it’s time to do something good. She joins in the fight with Kimiko and Starlight, helping to take down the Nazi.
Is it enough? Well, girls do get it done, but they don’t finish Stormfront off. Stormfront gets to Becca and threatens her life. Ryan sees it and panics. He can’t lose his mom. She’s protected him all this time, and as the trip to the restaurant showed, he can’t deal with crowds with the way he’s grown up.
As it looks like Stormfront will kill Becca, Ryan unleashes his powers. It’s great for the group. Stormfront is burned to a crisp and left mumbling something. However, things went a little wrong. Ryan accidentally killed his mom at the same time.
What does that mean for Ryan? Does this mean Stormfront is really dead? There are still a lot of questions for The Boys Season 3.
Changing up The Seven (again)
Homelander is shocked by the events. He has no choice but to apologize for everything that Stormfront did. Even though he believed in it, he pretended that it was all Stormfront’s doing. He exonerates Starlight (who is back in her old costume) and tells the people that Stormfront is out.
A-Train is back in, although the Church of the Collective could only get him in. And it’s more about his race than anything else. The Seven needs to look inclusive.
As for The Deep, he isn’t happy about it. As he argues back, he’s kicked out of the Church of the Collective for being toxic. Is this why Eagle the Archer got kicked out? He happened to argue back? The Boys Season 3 could see The Deep and Eagle join forces.
That is if anyone else knows The Deep has been kicked out. Alastair is in his office when his head explodes.
Whaaaat?
We pan to outside the grounds of the cult. Victorian Neuman is outside with white eyes. Her eyes turn back to normal. She’s the one who has been blowing off heads?
If that’s the case, nobody is safe, and Hughie is walking into the lion’s den. At the very end, we see him walk into Victoria’s campaign headquarters wanting to help get her elected.
Uh oh!
