We knew with the end of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video, we’d get information about another Amazon Original. NYCC Metaverse (the online version of NYCC 2020) has brought us some excellent The Expanse Season 5 news.
Not only did the trailer for the fifth season drop, but we also got a premiere date. The Expanse Season 5 is coming to Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 16, 2020.

This is where you need to pay close attention! It’s not getting the traditional binge-watch treatment. The Expanse Season 5 will be released weekly, with the 10 episodes being released over the course of eight weeks. The finale will air on Feb. 3, according to Deadline.
Let’s not review-bomb this series like fans did with The Boys. Is it really fair on the show to harm it when it’s all over the release? Just think; on Feb. 3, you’ll be able to binge-watch all 10 episodes the way you like.
The Expanse Season 5 trailer
During NYCC Metaverse, Amazon released the fifth season trailer, and it’s exciting. In the almost-three-minute trailer, we see the next fight for the crew of the Rocinante. This time it involves a war that threatens everything and everyone.

Fed up of oppression and injustice, Marco Inaros wages Armageddon against the Inners. He wants to unite the Belt to take on the Inners, and he has a great speech to unite the factions. If the Inners go to war, they could lose everything. But if they don’t, well, they could lose everything.
We get glimpses of the various characters and their storylines to come. They’re reunited with family and friends, they try to focus on the positives in life, but they need to figure out the deeper conspiracy in the potential war against the Belters.
There’s no doubt we’re excited about The Expanse Season 5 after seeing that trailer. All episodes will be worth the wait every Wednesday. It’ll be like it was when watching on SYFY.
