Creators of Truth Seekers shared what to expect in the PaleyFest Fall TV Previews

One of the most talked-about October shows is definitely Truth Seekers, the horror-comedy from starring Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. Frost and the co-creators of the series share what to expect in the PaleyFest Fall TV Previews.

PaeyFest is bringing us virtual panels to take a look at some of the most talked-about shows this fall. Some have already began airing, while others are still to come. Truth Seekers is one of the latter.

The panels will be available on Yahoo! Entertainment at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. However, we got a sneak peek of the panel to share what to expect during it.

Truth Seekers creators talk how the series came together

Mekeisha Madden Toby hosts the panel, which features co-creator and star Nick Frost, co-creators and co-writers Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz, and director Jim Field Smith.

They discuss the process of creating this series, which is focused on people and not specifically the supernatural or the ghost-hunting. I’m not sure some of their ideas would be as interesting as a couple of paranormal investigators, but you never know. One thing you will notice is that they are all on the same wavelength and clearly love the project they’ve created.

While talking about the creation of the project, they’ll share how long it took them to write it and the development of the series. Was there always going to be a deeper conspiracy within the ghost hunting?

One director for the series

The panel also focuses on how Jim Field Smith was the only director on Truth Seekers. Usually, there will be individual directors for each episode when it comes to TV. However, the creators for this project decided to go with a different route.

How did that help with the creation of the show? What did that mean for filming? This part of the discussion is interesting and will certainly get you excited about the show.

Those are just some of the things to expect from the panel. It’s about 45-minutes long, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it. There’s a lot of teases for the series without giving away the spoilers.

Overall, it’s a thoughtful and intriguing panel. The talent certainly help to keep you engaged as they talk, and it’s so much fun to see how they interact with each other virtually. What would it have been like in the writers’ room or on set? It’s no wonder it took as long as it did to create!

Take a look at the trailer to get ready for the series, which premieres on Oct. 30 on Amazon Prime Video.
