Mr. Robot Season 4 is just one of the Amazon shows to watch next month

We’re heading into a new month. At first glance, the list of new arrivals on Amazon Prime Video can be daunting. We’ve narrowed down the Amazon shows to our top five picks.

There’s a good mixture of Amazon Channels, Amazon Originals, and third-party TV series. Whether you want horror-comedy, drama, or a reality show, there’s something for you.

Here are five good Amazon shows to watch in October 2020.

Mr. Robot Season 4

We start with the fourth and final season of Mr. Robot. The season picks up in the Christmas season, with Elliot and Mr. Robot returning. The premiere sees a lot happening, including Darlene dealing with real trouble and Dom struggling with paranoia.

More from TV on Amazon

It’s finally time to get all the answers you’ve been waiting four seasons for. All 13 episodes drop at once on Oct. 6.

The Great British Baking Show

For those who want reality TV, one of the Amazon Channels is the place to turn. The Great British Baking Show Season 1 is available for free on Amazon throughout the month, with all other seasons available on PBS Living.

It’s a great series that pits hopeful bakers against each other with some big tests. This is the chance for home bakers to show off their skills in a far more serious method than Netflix’s Nailed It!

You can watch the first season on Prime on Oct. 1.

Liar Season 1

Need something more serious? Love a good crime drama? Liar Season 1 is available for free on Amazon Prime Video during the month. The second season is available to stream afterward on Sundance Now.

Liar is about a woman who is date-raped by a surgeon that everyone likes. It’s difficult to prove, but it does lead to the surgeon’s life being turned upside down. You know who he’s going to blame despite it all being true. It turns into a dangerous game of cat and mouse between the two.

You can watch all six episodes from Oct. 1 for free on Prime.

Truth Seekers

What about a horror-comedy? One of the original Amazon shows joining in October is Truth Seekers. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost join up forces again, this time as a couple of paranormal investigators who share all their findings online with their followers.

As they head on trips to haunted churches and abandoned hospitals, they realize there may be something bigger happening. It’s a fun binge-watch coming perfectly timed for Halloween.

Watch all episodes from Oct. 30.

The Boys Season 2 finale

Finally, we have more episodes of The Boys. There are two more episodes to be exact. The first drops on Oct. 2 and then the finale will drop on Oct. 9. From then, you’ll be able to binge-watch the entire season in full, as many people have wanted to do from the start. Let’s be honest, though; it’s been fun breaking down episodes and speculating.

The Boys Season 2 finale promises to be bigger than the first. There are a lot of questions for it right now, including what the Church of the Collective wants, whether Stormfront and Homelander can be stopped, and what has caused the exploding heads.
