It’s time for another dramedy to binge-watch. Utopia is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The series certainly has a drama element to it, but it’s a dark comedy. Think of it a little like The Boys, but opting for a graphic novel that tells the future instead of Supes that turn out to be…I can’t even put the word here to keep this PG-13!

However, the series does have a little less violence than the British counterpart. Judging by one of the promos, there’s still plenty of it!

You may think you already know about Utopia. The show was originally a British show. The American reboot was picked up by HBO and was going to have nine episodes. However, due to showrunners stepping away and creative issues, the series didn’t get off the ground.

It was then picked up by Amazon. Sharp Objects‘s Gillian Flynn was tapped as showrunner and the rest has been history.

Utopia has an outstanding cast, with Sasha Lane leading it. Rainn Wilson, John Cusack, Dan Byrd, and Cory Michael Smith are also involved in the series. With excellent writing to boot, this is a series you need to watch.

The series is about a group of people who come together after finding “Utopia,” a graphic novel in the series. It tells the future, including plagues that are going to hit the world. Pharmaceutical companies and more want to get their hands on the graphic novel to prevent people from finding out about it, but the group of young people will do whatever it takes to protect the world. Will they succeed?

This is one of those shows you’ll start and not be able to stop. Now you get to watch it as much as you want.
