Scream 5 has a new cast member. This time, The Boys star Jack Quaid is the name mentioned. What does this mean for the actor’s future on the Amazon series?

Don’t worry too much. It probably means nothing for his role on The Boys Season 3. Of course, we don’t know how the finale will end just yet. We could be surprised by an exit that completely goes against the stories in the graphic novels. Will the show do something like that?

The fifth installment in the horror franchise has already landed a number of original cast members, according to Deadline. David Arquette and Courtney Cox are on board, with talks of others coming back to the franchise. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega will also join the project.

Scream 5 will see original creator Kevin Williamson executive produce the project. However, James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will write it. This is the second of the five Williamson hasn’t written. The other was Scream 3.

Will Jack Quaid still film The Boys Season 3?

There’s no need to worry about what this means for Quaid on the superhero Amazon Original. While we don’t know if Hughie is going to survive or not (you never know!), it’s unlikely that we’re losing the heart of the show. He’s the one that constantly reminds the characters what it means to be good, and don’t expect that to change too much in the second season.

He’s also the one with the forbidden love story with Starlight. While the two may be on opposite sides right now, that’s probably not going to stay that way. Starlight wants to make superheroes good again.

The good thing is that filming a movie takes just a few months. Many actors will take movie projects between seasons if they have enough of a break. This is probably the way things will work before The Boys Season 3 starts filming.

Of course, filming isn’t happening right now. Scream 5 is still adding cast members. The Boys Season 3 hasn’t started filming just yet. We’re not sure when that’s going to happen.
