The Fall
Another excellently-written TV show is The Fall. It stars Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan as Stella Gibson and Paul Spector. Paul is a dangerous and wanted criminal living a perfectly normal life. Nobody realizes that he is the one everyone is after, until Stella is tasked with the case. She moves from London to Belfast to capture this sadistic killer.
For the first two seasons, it’s a well-crafted cat and mouse game. The third season focuses on the capture and aftermath. After all, just because the police have caught the guy doesn’t mean it will end with justice for the victims.

The Outsider
Next up is a recent TV series that has been adapted from a Stephen King novel. The Outsider follows a detective who is certain that a baseball coach is responsible for the rape and murder of a young boy. After arresting the coach in front of everyone, the whole town turns against this coach. It’s a look at how people will believe what they want instead of waiting for the evidence.
After all, it soon turns out that the coach didn’t do it. He was framed. Can the detective get the right guy before it’s too late for the coach? What will happen when the town takes matters into their own hands against the wrong person?
The Outsider is available to stream on HBO.
