The Outsider DVD release date change: Moving to July 2020
If you were excited about The Outsider heading to DVD in June, there’s some sad news. The DVD release date has had to change. Here are the details.
Chances are you were getting ready to relive all 10 episodes of The Outsider on DVD in June. Sadly, the release date has changed. We have to wait until July 2020.
Warner Bros. hasn’t explained why there’s a release date, but it’s possibly linked to the current pandemic. Shipments of various items have been delayed, and The Outsider isn’t the only DVD release date that has been pushed back. It’s hard not to be disappointed, but let’s try focus on the positives.

The DVD is coming, but a month-and-a-half later. The new official release date for The Outsider on DVD is July 28, 2020.
If you can’t wait for the DVD release, you don’t need an HBO subscription to watch the full series again. You can buy the episodes digitally through Amazon Video right now. Of course, if you do have HBO for other reasons, you can still watch the episodes there. They’re not going anywhere.
The Outsider is definitely a series that you’ll want to check out. Based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, it follows the investigation into the murder of a young boy. Eyewitness reports and evidence points to Terry Maitland (Jason Bateman) carrying out the gruesome attack, so Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn) makes a very public arrest.
However, what happens when the evidence was falsified? What happens when it was someone else entirely? And how does the public react when someone they once loved is viewed as a rapist and murderer?
The horror of this is certainly in the actions of the people, as well as the murder investigation itself. People are quick to turn on others, but maybe vigilante justice isn’t right after all.
