15 most-watched Amazon Originals in 2020 so far
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of the most popular Amazon Originals of 2020
We’re over the halfway mark of 2020. While things still aren’t back to normal (and probably won’t be until at least 2021), we do have some Amazon Originals to keep us occupied.
TV Time has shared the list of most popular Amazon Originals from the year so far. This is based on the episodes watched and re-watched by TV Time users, with the results tracked from Jan. 1, 2020 to July 21, 2020.

There are some interesting additions, such as Celebrity Hunted: Manhunt being the 15th most popular Original. This is a show that has been relatively under the radar for many of us.
It shouldn’t be surprising that the list as Homecoming, Hanna, and Bosch all close together. The three shows have some similarities in storytelling and action, although they do stand out on their own for various reasons. Hanna may have been further up the list had it not been the fact that it only came out in July 2020.
What’s not surprising is that the majority at the top of the list were released at the end of 2019. The Man in the High Castle‘s final season and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 have had the attention of viewers since the very start of 2020. And they are routinely the most suggested shows on social media.
However, that doesn’t mean shows from 2020 don’t stand out. Hunters and Upload are both in the Top 5. The Expanse is also on the list, which had its first Amazon-only season release earlier this year. Out of the three shows, Hunters sits at the top of the list and still hasn’t been renewed for a second season. It looks like this is a quiet cancellation, which doesn’t make sense if it is the most popular Amazon series of the year so far.
It will be interesting to see what this list is like at the end of the year. I have a feeling The Boys may move up the list.
