Emily puts a plan together to find Nick’s location on Absentia Season 3, Episode 3

Emily is not letting things go on Absentia Season 3, Episode 3. She needs to find out where Nick is, mostly for Flynn. She can’t let her son go through any more losses, and she makes it clear to him not to believe anything the media says unless she tells him first.

So, without the FBI’s help, she does need to figure out where Nick is being kept. So, she arranges a meeting with Meridian’s Dawkins through the guy she put in the hospital (who ends up dead shortly after).

Emily meets Dawkins at the mall, with Kai in another part hacking into Dawkins’s phone. That’s where Emily sees a live feed of Nick, who is being held in some sort of psychiatric facility. It’s not in the U.S., though. He’s in Europe.

Meridian really does have people everywhere.

What’s happening to Nick?

Absentia Season 3, Episode 3 does give us a look at what’s happening to Nick so he wasn’t in the bomb blast from the previous episode. He wakes up in a coffin (with air holes so someone wants him alive). He tries to escape, but it looks like as he knocks over the coffin to try to get out, he knocks himself unconscious. The next time we see him is in a white padded room.

He’s a “patient” at a facility. However, he doesn’t plan to stay there for long.

When a doctor comes in with his meds, Nick knocks her down and runs for it. He doesn’t get too far, but does make it outside. That’s when we get a look at the outside of the building, which is in the middle of nowhere.

There’s a mole in the FBI

Kai has always made it clear that the FBI isn’t safe. Meridian has people everywhere, and she’s sure that one of those places is the FBI. However, she did assess Nick was one of the good guys but feels guilty for going to him with the information. It’s because of her that Nick has been taken and Emily was stabbed.

It’s clear there’s a mole. Is it Gunnarson? Could it be Crowne? There are still the questions over Cal’s backstory that is clearly connected to Meridian.

We don’t have much time to think about that. The end of the episode sees Kai chased through the mall by one of Meridian’s goons and she’s thrown off one of the upper levels of the mall. Somehow she’s alive when Emily gets to her, but is that really going to remain that way?
