The Boys Season 2 teaser trailer reveals more gore and a lot more action

The Boys Season 2 teaser trailer is here, giving us a hint of what to expect

If you thought The Boys Season 1 was too gory and violent, you’ll probably want to sit the second season out. For those who adored the humor, the action, and the storytelling throughout the first season, it looks like The Boys Season 2 is bringing us a whole lot more.

The teaser trailer is out, giving us just a hint of what to expect. We get to see Stormfront in action, the threat of the Supes with the military, and our vigilantes on the run.

It all opens with a multi-state manhunt for Billy Butcher and his known associates. There are a few things to immediately take away from this. Nobody knows who Frenchie is, which can allow him to continue to work online a little. The Female hasn’t even been connected to Butcher, which offers some hope that she can slip through unnoticed to fight against The Seven.

Butcher is back with the team

Something to note is that Butcher is back with his team. The last we saw of Butcher, he was with Homelander, learning that his wife was still alive. In fact, his wife had Homelander’s child after she’d been raped by him.

There is a quick glimpse of Homelander with his son. He is literally throwing the boy off the roof of the house, most likely testing out his son’s abilities. Homelander is the strongest of all Supes, but will his progeny be even stronger?

There are a few other moments that stand out in the teaser trailer, which seems to be mostly focused on a few key elements in the second season.

Starlight is back in her new uniform. This is likely her way to look like she’s fitting into the group. After all, the end of the first season saw her take on A-Train to allow the vigilantes to escape. She needs to make it look like she was trying to stop them from escaping.

The Deep looks like he’s back after some time off to think about his actions. Is he a changed Supe? Could he and Queen Maeve help Starlight take down Homelander?

Then there’s the look at Stormfront and her powers. At one point, she’s fighting against The Female, so it looks like that connection to Butcher won’t remain secret for long.

However, The Female isn’t on the boat with the boys. She could just be in the cabin, but she may also be out fighting against Stormfront when that happens.

One question I do have: why is Butcher crawling out of what looks like a shark?

You’ll want to check out the trailer in your own time. This is going to take multiple viewings to see all the quick flashes of action. Just expect plenty of blood, guts, and gore.
