Hanna only dropped its second season yesterday, but all eyes are already on the future. Will Hanna Season 3 happen on Amazon Prime Video?
Amazon tends to have a habit of canceling good shows after two seasons. We just have to look at The Tick and Patriot to see how great shows can be suddenly canceled. We hope that’s not the case for Hanna.

Not only is the series female-led, but it also offers some diversity without being stereotypical in the second season. Clara returned, focused on finding her mom which led to get getting captured by Utrax. Yasmin Monet Prince delivered a powerful performance from start to finish, and we can only hope for more of that.
On top of that, we had Anthony Walsh who had us on the edges of our seats as we tried to figure out his character, Leo Garner. Cherrelle Skeete was also outstanding as Terri Miller, offering us a way into Utrax as we learned about The Meadows at the same time as her.
There is also a lot of power in the storytelling. This is one of those shows that offered a look at female friendship and support, something that isn’t often seen on TV.
When will Amazon make a decision about Hanna Season 3?
Amazon hasn’t yet renewed the show for a third season. That’s not all that surprising. It takes time for some shows to get a renewal notice. Upload was an exception being renewed for a second season just a week after release. If Hanna’s viewing figures are good, we could see the same for the series.
It’s worth noting that it took just 10 days for Amazon to renew Hanna for a second season. The network isn’t afraid to offer early renewals when it sees fit. Hopefully, in a few days’ time we’ll get a third season.
It could take a month or two, though. If we don’t hear about it within a couple of months, we’re looking at a quiet cancellation. I’d be surprised if that’s the case. It’s not like there aren’t some great potential storylines.
