All you need to know about the July 2020 Amazon Originals

Five Amazon Originals are joining Amazon Prime Video in July 2020. If that’s all you’re interested in when it comes to new releases, you’ll want to know as much as possible about them right now.

There’s a mixture for all this month. Three of the originals are TV shows, but one of those is aimed at preschoolers. That latter one could be perfect for those looking for something to keep the children happy for an hour or so.

The other two will take less time to watch. There’s a movie based on Marie Curie and a Jim Gaffigan comedy special heading our way. It’s shaping up to be a great month. Here are the releases in order of arrival.

Hanna Season 2

It all starts with the second season of Hanna. The first season left with Hanna and a girl like her running into hiding. Hanna and Clara find themselves back in Utrax’s hands and taken to the new facility. Now Hanna is going to have to fight to keep her morals and prevent herself turning into one of the brainwashed soldiers the other girls are.

As she spends more time at The Meadows, she’ll learn more about her purpose. Will she question if this is her home after all?

Hanna Season 2 streams on July 3.

Absentia Season 3

One of the most highly-anticipated Amazon Originals has to be the third season of Absentia. Emily Byrne is in the final days of her suspension from the FBI. She’s ready to return to work, but a new international criminal case could throw everything off balance.

Emily will need to work with her ex-husband and learn to trust again if she wants to succeed. This is an original that isn’t global just yet. It’s U.S., UK, Australia, and some other locations.

Absentia Season 3 drops on July 17.

Radioactive

Don’t have time for a TV series? One of the Amazon Originals is a movie, based on the true story of Marie Curie and her husband Pierre. We get a chance to see their discovery of radioactivity, leading to so many medical benefits. She is viewed as the reason for cancer treatments as we now know them.

We’ll get to see the couple raise their daughters and make their discovery. On top of that, we get to celebrate Marie becoming the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Radioactive is on Amazon Prime Video on July 24.

Jim Gaffigan: Pale Tourist

If you love Jim Gaffigan’s comedy, then you’re going to look forward to the end of the month. This time, Jim has traveled the world and talked to locals about the culture. He uses those experiences for his new standup special. There are jokes for each culture and country, making it something that everyone will be able to appreciate.

There are two specials within the Pale Tourist franchise dropping. Jim talks about Spain and Canada.

Watch the special on July 24 on Amazon Prime Video.
