The Vast of Night stars Sierra McCormick and Jake Horowitz as two friends who end up on an investigation. It’s Andrew Patterson’s directorial debut, and he’s received strong praise for the movie. If you’re looking for a family movie, this could be perfect with its PG-13 rating.

What The Vast of Night is about

McCormick and Horowitz star as Fay and Everett on The Vast of Night. Fay is a young switchboard operator who discovers a strange audio frequency one night. She turns to her friend Everett, a radio DJ, who has also heard some of the strange AM radio signals. Calls have dropped and there are secret reels of tape long forgotten in the library.

The two decide they need to figure out what is going on in their small town. Along the way, they find out that it may not be the first time something like this has happened. Of course, that opens a bigger investigation, as they try to find out what could be the cause.

Is it something natural or are there aliens? That’s something for us to learn along the journey with Fay and Everett.
