You’ve asked for more sci-fi, and that’s just what Amazon Prime Video is bringing. One of the upcoming movies was released at Toronto International Film Festival and received high praise. Now it’s time to check out the official trailer for The Vast of Night.

This 1950s-set sci-fi movie trailer certainly offers a tease for the movie. It doesn’t give too much away, leaving you with plenty of questions about what’s really going on and what the people of the town know.

The Vast of Night stars Sierra McCormick and Jake Horowitz as two friends. One is a switchboard operator and the other is a radio DJ. Together, they discover a strange audio frequency that could change everything in their small town. As they investigate more, they learn that this sort of thing has happened before and there could be something coming from the sky.

As they head on their scavenger hunt, the two realize that there are secret reels of tapes that have been forgotten, dropped phone calls, other AM radio signals, and much more.

Whatever you believe when it comes to aliens and other life forms, this is going to be a movie you want to check out. It’s thrilling, fast-paced, but smartly written. Just check out the trailer below:

While audiences hadn’t had the chance to rate it yet, The Vast of Night currently holds an 88% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes after its TIFF premiere. This is a movie that everyone is talking about now that the trailer is out.

Right now, there isn’t a release date. However, it’s going to get some sort of theatrical run before heading to Amazon Prime Video. We don’t know yet if it’s getting a full theatrical run or a two-week limited release similar to The Report and The Aeronauts. Either way, it will come to Amazon Prime Video soon.
