There are some excellent new releases on Amazon in June 2020, whether you want to laugh or cry. One movie that is heading to Amazon Prime Video is the Indian Original Gulabo Sitabo.

The new movie will be available on June 12, 2020, and it promises to be as good as previous Indian releases. Honestly, some of the best Amazon Originals have hailed from international locations, and India has some of the most heartfelt movies and shows going. Just look at Made in Heaven for an idea.

More from Amazon Originals

This movie is a little different from the rest. The characters are extremely flawed and will make you look out for better humans in your life.

Gulabo Sitabo details

Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khuranna star as Mirza and Baankey respectively. Mirza is a 78-year-old landlord with his focus on one thing: his old depleted mansion. Sitting in the heart of Lucknow, he will do everything he can to keep it. That means cheating his way through life.

However, he has a tenant who turns out to be, we should say, difficult. Baankey is sly and doesn’t mind matching Mirza for his slimy, scheming ways. Expect plenty of banter as the two try to get through life together with their own goals and dreams.

The two characters are described as a “Tom and Jerry” type duo. They will never get along and are completely unmatched, which means plenty of chaos. Of course, that means plenty of comedy value for us as the viewers.
