Are you ready to add new movies to your DVD and Blu-ray collection? May 5 sees plenty of new content, and here are five releases to consider.

With the pandemic still going on, you’re likely looking for movies and TV shows to watch. Many are making their way to DVD and Blu-ray this week.

In fact, May 5 sees the release of 11 movies and TV shows on DVD and Blu-ray. Here are the top five picks if you want to beat the overwhelm.

5. The Lodge

More from Movies on Amazon

If you want a horror, The Lodge is the movie to check out. Riley Keough stars as a woman who heads on a vacation with her partner and his children. The idea is for the children to get to know her better, but when her partner has to leave for business, she ends up alone with two children who clearly don’t like her.

When they’re snowed in and the power goes out, secrets of the past come out. This psychological thriller may have you watching from behind a cushion.

4. Ray Donovan Season 7

I’d put this higher on the list, but SHOWTIME unfairly canceled it so it feels a little unfinished. However, if you haven’t seen Ray Donovan Season 7 and have been waiting for the DVD and Blu-ray release, you’re in luck.

The seventh and (right now) final season will take you through one more case. Liev Shreiber is at his best.

3. I Still Believe

For those who love a good Christian-focused movie, I Still Believe is out on DVD and Blu-ray this week. Riverdale‘s KJ Apa stars as Jeremy Camp, and it’s based on Camp’s true story, focused on how a journey of love and loss still leads to hope.

While critics have been lukewarm, Jeremy Camp fans have praised the movie. It’s one that you need to watch if you love I Can Only Imagine and I’m Not Ashamed.

2. Bloodshot

Vin Diesel fans will have been waiting for this DVD release. Bloodshot is finally coming to the homes. It is an adaptation of the comic series of the same name, focused on a soldier who dies and is brought back with nano technology.

Bloodshot becomes a super soldier, and he’s not alone. However, it soon turns out that the man who brought him back man have a nefarious plan.

1. Ordinary Love

If you want a movie with a lot of heart and meaning, look not further than Ordinary Love. A couple that has been together for decades is rocked by the news of the wife’s cancer. As she fights cancer, her husband needs to deal with potentially losing her and the hardship the battle against cancer brings.
