There’s some good and bad news. We already know Bosch Season 7 is confirmed. This news happened ahead of the release of the sixth season. In fact, the news came in before we even had a trailer and release date for the most recent season. Amazon knows how much we love the show.

So, what’s the bad news? Amazon also wants to bring the series to an end. While we have the seventh season, Amazon confirmed that this is going to be the final season.

Of course, a show like Bosch can’t just end. There are a few loose ends to tie up. We need to see Harry Bosch go out with some sort of bang. Not a literal bang. We just need to see him either retire in peace or gain some sort of promotion that sets him on a new career path.

If you caught news of a spin-off for the series, you will be disappointed. Amazon Prime Video released a video of Michael Connelly introducing the spin-off, but it turns out to be a late April Fools’ prank. It’s a shame it wasn’t released on the actual day, because we all needed a good laugh on April 1.

While that was a joke, it doesn’t mean that can’t be a spin-off. However, Amazon does have a number of crime dramas in development, including a Jack Reacher one. We’ll need to settle for one final season with Harry Bosch.
