Selah and the Spades focuses on a prestigious school that is run by five factions. The Spades is the biggest faction in the school, run by our titular cheerleader, Selah.
She’s looking for someone to take over her role in the school when she moves on. For months, she’s been training her right-hand man, but when a new girl moves into town and into the school, Selah changes her focus. What could possibly go wrong when this happens?
For those who love new Amazon Originals, you’ll want to pay extra attention to Selah and the Spades. When Amazon gained the rights to the movie, there were extra rights to create a TV series based on the content. This could be a continuation, focusing on more of the drama within the school and the other factions.
It holds a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, at the time of writing. This could change now it’s on Prime, but the initial reviews are based on the TIFF premiere.
