As a global original, Selah and the Spades will be on Prime Video at midnight GMT on Friday, April 17. This usually means that the original drops early in North America. It’s possible to get it at 7 p.m. ET or 4 p.m. PT on Thursday, April 16.
I will say that there’s no guarantee of this happening. If it’s not available right away, keep checking until midnight in your local timezone. That’s when it will definitely be available. Sometimes, you have to search for the title to watch it instead of waiting for it to show up on your homescreen.
Selah and the Spades gives us a look at the underground life at a prestigious boarding school. The students are split into factions, with The Spades being the biggest and most powerful faction. Selah is the leader of this faction and is looking for someone to take over when she moves on.
When released at TIFF, the movie gained a 94% approval rating from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s certainly one worth checking out if you love teen dramas, especially since Amazon got the rights with the option to create a series afterward.
