At first glance, the series looks like just another sci-fi show. There’s something called “The Loop” in the middle of a town, and everyone is connected to it. People at the town work in it to keep it running, but there’s something mysterious about it that nobody understands.

That something mysterious makes science fiction a reality. Whether it involves time loops or stopping time, the people of the loop realize that they can do things or that strange things are happening around them.

While they explore their new abilities and the new possibilities around them, they also have to face some of the consequences. It may involve children without parents or lost friendships. There are some heartfelt stories as we learn more about the people connected to The Loop.

The heart is what makes this show so special. The sci-fi is just a plot point pushing forward these grounded and often bittersweet stories.
