Will Tales from the Loop Season 1 come to DVD and Blu-ray?
Tales from the Loop is certainly impressing on Amazon Prime Video. Will you be able to own the first season on DVD and Blu-ray in the future?
As fans enjoy the mysteries within Tales from the Loop, many have one question. Will the series be available to own on DVD and Blu-ray?
Right now, the only way to watch Tales from the Loop is through your Prime membership. At least, that’s the only legal way to watch. But not everyone wants to constantly have a membership to a streaming service, right? You want to be able to own your favorite TV shows and movies on DVD and Blu-ray.

It’s unlikely that Tales from the Loop will head to DVD and Blu-ray. As an Amazon Original, there’s no need for Amazon to even consider releasing it. After all, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Carnival Row, and many other Amazon TV shows haven’t made it to DVD and Blu-ray yet.
However, some have. You can own the likes of Bosch on DVD in some parts of the world. The Expanse is also available. There are reasons for this.
Bosch was one of the first Amazon Originals on the streaming service. Releasing on DVD and Blu-ray would have been the norm. Amazon Prime Video wasn’t available everywhere at this point, either, so releasing on DVD and Blu-ray was the only option for some parts of the world. Meanwhile, The Expanse used to air on SYFY, and releasing on DVD and Blu-ray was expected.
As the streaming service has grown, there’s less reason to release on DVD and Blu-ray. In fact, it takes subscribers away from the streaming service. While sign up for Amazon Prime Video when you can own the DVD and Blu-ray in the future? Amazon will want to keep as much content exclusive to the service as possible.
So, I doubt we’ll see Tales from the Loop Season 1 on DVD and Blu-ray in the future. It’s not impossible but it is a doubt.
