Amazon Studios started production on The Map of Tiny Perfect Things

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things is one of the upcoming Amazon Original movies coming soon. Production on the Amazon Studios movie has officially started.

Are you excited for more Amazon Original movies to head to Prime Video? While it doesn’t have a release date just yet, The Map of Tiny Perfect Things is an Amazon Studios movie coming up soon. Production has officially started on the movie.

The Magicians author, Lev Grossman, created the short story that the movie is based on. The great news is that he’s the one to adapt the screenplay, which means you know those important details are kept in as much as possible.

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things has started principal photography in Alabama, according to a recent press release, with The Society‘s Kathryn Newton in the lead role, with Kyle Allen from The Path joining her. Jermaine Harris, Anna Mikami, Josh Hamilton, and Cleo Fraser round out the case.

Fans of Groundhog Day-like time loops will certainly enjoy The Map of Perfect Things. A teenager is content with living in an endless loop until he meets a girl also stuck in the time warp. They develop a romantic entanglement and realize that both want to escape this never-ending day. It’s a rom-com-style movie, which is going to be great for the fans of the genre. Whether you’ve read the short story or not, this is going to be something for you.

With principal photography just starting and most movies taking four months or so to film, it’s likely that we’re looking at a very late 2020 or a 2021 release date. Could it be released next Valentine’s Day?
