The Boys: Cast members are wrapping filming on Season 2

The Boys Season 2 has been in production since the first season premiered in the summer. Filming is already starting to wrap.

Since the very first season of The Boys, we knew we were getting more. Amazon announced the show had been renewed ahead of the release, and production started as we were getting to see the journey our vigilante “heroes” would take.

If you were worried about the snowy weather around Toronto holding back filming on the second season, I don’t think there’s a need to be. Filming is starting to wrap on particular characters, which suggests the cast and crew are coming to the end. This could mean a summer release for the second season. How exciting is that?

It all started on Nov. 6, when The Boys tweeted out that Karl Urban had wrapped on the set. Billy Butcher gets to kick back and relax, while the rest of the vigilantes and the Supes battle it out.

That was followed on Nov. 12, with the update that Jack Quaid had wrapped filming. Hughie’s scenes have finished.

All others are still filming as far as we know. Could this mean that the two main guys aren’t even in the final scenes? Not necessarily. Most of the time, TV shows don’t film in order. They work to the schedules of their cast members, so it is possible that some of the last scenes have been filmed earlier to allow Urban and Quaid time to do other things.

Of course, it could mean that the two aren’t the focus for the end of The Boys Season 2. There are many other characters out there. Could we see Starlight become the main focus in the end? What about Mother’s Milk or even The Female or Frenchie?

One thing is for certain, The Boys Season 2 looks to be on schedule in terms of production. The plan is for a mid-2020 release. So, July 2020?
