The final season of Elementary comes to DVD in September 2019

Fans of Elementary may be sad the series is coming to an end but we have the release date of the seventh season DVD, now available to pre-order.

Elementary premiered in 2012 on CBS and instantly became a hit. The series stars Lucy Liu as a female version of John Watson, known as Joan Watson in the series. Jonny Lee Miller plays Sherlock Holmes.

Holmes relocates to Manhattan after leaving rehab and is forced to live with Joan, his new sober companion. He begins to work as a police contact and Watson assists him in his investigations.

If you’ve already collected all the other seasons of the show on DVD, then we’re happy to announce you’ll be able to collect the final, seventh season, on Sept. 17, 2019. The season is currently available to pre-order on DVD.

The final season of Elementary is currently airing on CBS so it’s a little surprising they’ve announced the DVD release so early. The series finale is set to debut on Aug. 15, 2019.

At this time, there is no news about whether or not CBS plans to release the season on Blu-ray. We also don’t know what, if any, special features will be included in the set. If you prefer to watch your shows digitally, you can do so through the CBS All Access app or the CBS add-on through Amazon Video Channels.

In addition to Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller, the series also stars Jon Michael Hall, Aidan Quinn, John Noble, Desmond Harrington, and James Frain.

Fans of Game of Thrones will also recognize Natalie Dormer portraying one of the series’ antagonists, Jaime Moriarty.
