June 2019 brings two Prime Original movies to its service. Chasing Happiness was the first and the second is Yardie. What time can you start streaming Yardie on Amazon Prime Video?

Yardie, directed by Idris Elba, is set in both Kingston in the 1970s and Hackney in the 1980s. It focuses on D, played by Aml Ameen, a young Jamaican man who has never recovered from his brother’s murder. It may have been committed during his childhood, but it left a wound that never healed.
After growing up under the wing of King Fox, a Kingston Don and music producer, D heads out to London. He reconnects with both his childhood sweetheart and his daughter, who he’s not seen since she was a baby. There’s a chance that he’ll follow a righteous path, but he comes across the man who killed his brother. Of course, he can’t help but head off on a path of vengeance.
Reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are mixed. Critics and audiences sit at 55% and 56% respectively. Elba’s directorial efforts have certainly proven to be positive, even if the end pacing has been part of the reason for the negative reviews.
