Good Omens Episode 5 sees the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse come together, as Adam decides his next steps with his friends. Here’s what happened in the episode.

We get our first look of the Four Horsemen Motorcyclists of the Apocalypse together in Good Omens Episode 5. Crowley and Aziraphale continue to try to prevent the apocalypse happening and Adam needs to make a choice. Here’s everything that happened.

At the end of Episode 4, Aziraphale was taken through the portal to Heaven. It turns out he was supposed to be there but the body he was issued with has been destroyed — and Heaven isn’t happy. Refusing to be a part of the End of the World, Aziraphale decides that he’ll go down to Earth and possess someone like a demon would.

After a quick visit to a drunken Crowley (who gets to the bookshop to see it on fire to find Agnes Nutter’s book) to tell him of where to find the Antichrist, Aziraphale heads out to find someone to possess. It just so happens that it’s Tracey, who is in the middle of a seance.

Now with a body, Aziraphale/Tracey manages to explain to Shadwell about the upcoming end of the world and they all head off to the airfield, which is where this end of the world is going to happen.

The Four Motorcyclists assemble

While Aziraphale and Crowley are doing their thing, the Four Horsemen come together in a coffee shop of all places. Four teas (one black) and a cheese sandwich later, the four head off to the airfield to get ready for the End of the World.

After all, Adam has summoned them. He’s still threatening with bringing the End Times. However, his three friends — who are now allowed to speak again — help to talk him out of it. Just because adults made a mess of the world doesn’t mean Adam should destroy it. He should help fix it.

Off Them go to the airfield. Recognize a pattern? Yes, everyone is joining together at the airfield to either stop the apocalypse or start it, depending on the side.

There’s just one certain demon who has an issue getting there.

Crowley drives through fire

Do you remember in Good Omens Episode 1 when Crowley bragged about the M25 being designed as a demonic omen? Well, yes, that comes up in this episode. Crowley struggles to get out of London because of a traffic jam on the M25. When isn’t there a traffic jam on that circular motorway?

The whole road explodes into fire, trapping everyone inside London, including Crowley. He isn’t going to stick around though.

With Hastur (who gets out of the answerphone message thanks to a “we’re calling about the accident you had” cold caller) in the passenger seat, Crowley decides to literally drive through the fire. Hastur doesn’t stick around for the whole of it and Crowley eventually gets to the airbase with a burning Bentley.

The witch and witchfinder

Finally, Pulsifer and Anathema also head out to the airbase. Of course, the witch and witchfinder will need to be there for the end of the world. Keep watching out because some of the things that have happened — like Pulsifer’s ineptitude with technology — will come up very soon.
