It’s a new week and that means new content is added to Amazon Prime Video. What can you watch new between Apr. 15 and 19?
This is an excellent week to be an Amazon Prime subscriber. There are some long-awaited additions to Amazon Prime Video between Apri. 15 and 19. Are you ready to check out something new?
You likely still have plenty from the Apr. 1 drop to get through this week. While you’re doing that, make sure you make some time to watch the newest additions this week. Here are four shows and movies you’ll want to check out.
4. American Gods Season 2, Episode 6

It was a strong week for American Gods this week. Episode 6 gave us a story in two timelines, giving us some backstory for Mr. Wednesday. More importantly, it was a chance to find out what happened to his son Thor.
While it aired in the United States on STARZ on Sunday, it will be on Amazon Prime Video internationally Apr. 15. This is your chance to catch the latest episode. That’s one hour out of your week filled.

3. Overboard
The latest MGM movie to drop on the service is Overboard. While it’s not the greatest movie ever made, it is a decent comedy starring Mom actress Anna Ferris.
Overboard is about a working mom, Kate, who is fired from her cleaning job thanks to the actions of a rich man, Leonardo. When he falls overboard from his boat and suffers from amnesia, she finds the best way to get back at him and pretends to be his wife.
It’s certainly an over the top, ridiculous idea, but the movie works. There are plenty of lessons about how to treat people throughout. But most importantly, it’s a movie you can put on and not have to think about.
You can watch the movie with your Prime membership in the U.S. from Apr. 17.
2. Mid90s
Next up is the A24 movie Mid90s. Set in Los Angeles in the 1990s (in case the title didn’t give the time period away), the movie follows a 13-year-old boy who is just navigating through life one summer. He has to figure out how to be a part of his family and deal with his older brother making friends with new kids at a skate park.
Its directed and written by Jonah Hill and is a story about life and friendship. This is one of those movies with a lot of heart and meaning, and one that you’ll most definitely want to check out.
You can watch Mid90s on Amazon Prime Video on Apr. 18.
1. Bosch Season 5
The biggest release for the week has to be the Prime Original, Bosch. Season 5 is finally here and we’re going into this season knowing that it’s been renewed for a sixth season. Titus Welliver is back in the titular role and this season is based on the novel “Two Kinds of Truth.”
Bosch is going deep undercover this time. He has friends in the right places to make sure he gets answers to some of the biggest questions. This is the first time we get to see him undercover, due to being a homicide detective, so it’s certainly a fun change of pace. There’s no cell phone, no immediate backup, and no wire.
What’s in store? You’ll get to find out when the full season drops on Amazon Prime Video on Apr. 19.
