Amazon Studios’ Beautiful Boy gets January release date on Prime Video
If you’ve been waiting for Amazon Studios’ Beautiful Boy to make it to Prime Video, you don’t have much longer. The Steve Carell-Timothée Chalamet movie will be on Prime next month.
Beautiful Boy is the movie that has pulled at the heartstrings and earned Timothée Chalamet numerous award nominations. Amazon Studios has a hit and it isn’t too long before it will be available to stream on Prime Video. In fact, it will be available next month.
Make sure you mark Jan. 4 on your calendars. That’s the release date for the movie that has done spectacularly with its limited release in movie theaters.

Rated R for the drug content and language, this is a movie that touches on drug abuse, recovery, and family. Based on the bestselling memoirs of David and Nic Sheff, the story chronicles survival, relapse, and eventual recovery. This isn’t just about the person suffering from the addiction but also how it affects the family.
When focused on family, it’s a beautiful tale. It may not be perfect, but it is a movie that brings out Carell’s and Chalamet’s acting skills, putting them both to the test. If you only saw Carell as a comedic actor, this is the movie you need to watch to see that he is far more. And don’t get me started on the raw brilliance of Chalamet.
The release on Amazon Prime Video is exclusive. That means you won’t be able to watch this movie anywhere else to stream. Will it be available on DVD and Blu-ray? There is no confirmation about that yet. Amazon doesn’t tend to release its content on DVD, as it wants people to feel that the price for the streaming access is worth it.
