Where do you turn when you want a superhero show with a twist? It has to be The Tick (it will likely be The Boys when that’s released next year.
The Tick is based on the comic book series by Ben Edlund and has been developed into this Amazon Prime series by the same guy. If you loved the earlier adaptations, then you’ll adore this. Those who disliked the earlier adaptations will want to check it out, as it’s a million times better.

For those who haven’t heard about it, The Tick is about a superhero of the same name. Heroes and villains have been real beings in the world for decades, with The Tick as the greatest of them all. When Arthur realizes that his company is owned by one of the greatest supervillains here — one the world has thought to be dead — he finds himself focused on uncovering the conspiracy and saving the world.
What can an average human do? Why not work with the mysterious Tick, who could just be a figment of his imagination?
For those who want something just to sit back and enjoy, this is going to be the series for you. Sadly, the show was canceled after two seasons but you can watch them both on Amazon Prime Video.
