What is Sylvie’s Love about?
Tessa Thompson stars as Sylvie Farrell, an aspiring TV producer. She meets Robert Hunter, play by Nnamdi Asomugha, a saxophonist who becomes Sylvie’s great love. The two would love nothing more than to be together, but situations drive them apart.
Years later, they find one another again. Their lives have changed considerably since then, but have their feelings for each other?
Is Sylvie’s Love good?
Amazon very quickly snapped the movie up at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2020. It was one of the big acquisitions at the festival, with it gaining a 95% approval score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
It’s one of those movies that stands the test of time. Everyone will be able to connect to the story in some way, despite it being set in a specific time and place.
This is most definitely a movie you’ll want to check out this holiday season.
Sylvie’s Love is streaming on Amazon Prime Video by midnight tonight.
