The fourth season sees Olivia Colman continue her role as Queen Elizabeth II. It’s the last season with her in this role, with Imelda Staunton taking over in the fifth and sixth seasons. Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, and Ben Daniels will also return for the fourth season.

This is also the season that sees Gillian Anderson step into the role of Margaret Thatcher and Emma Corrin play Lady Diana Spencer. Taking place between 1979 and 1990, we’ll see Margaret Thatcher become the first female Prime Minister of the UK, although that won’t mean she and Elizabeth will get along. We’ll see Diana step into Charles’s life, which will lead to their turbulent marriage.

Is The Crown on Amazon Prime Video?
The Crown Season 4 will not come to Amazon Prime Video. This is a Netflix Original, which means it exclusively streams on Netflix. There’s very little chance that it will stream for free on Prime unless Netflix and Amazon come to some sort of deal. There’s no need for Netflix to make a deal with another streaming service, especially for this show. It’s one of the most popular.
However, The Crown Season 4 will likely come to DVD and Blu-ray. Previous seasons have been available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray, and there’s no need to think that won’t happen with the fourth season. This probably won’t happen for a year, though.
What about on Digital? That’s unlikely. The Crown hasn’t come to Digital in the past, making it an exclusive on Netflix when watching online.
